Emily grew up around the Secret Crusaders because of her Uncle Brad Turner. She  developed a passion for engineering and technology. She earned her degree in computer science and went on to work for a top-secret government research facility. Her expertise in robotics, artificial intelligence, and advanced weaponry caught the attention of Matt Trakker, who was looking for a skilled partner to assist him in his battle against the evil organization V.E.N.O.M. (Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem).
